Merpeople

Merpeople are humanlike creatures that live at the bottom of oceans and lakes.  They have grey skin and long, wild, dark green hair.  They have broken teeth and wear thick ropes of pebbles aroud their necks.  They have silver fish tails and carry spears to use as weapons.  Their language, called "mermish" sounds to humans like very high-pitched screeches.
